Civil Society Gateway

The Civil Society Gateway is an online civil society communication resource for journalists and the media. It is designed to help the media quickly and easily find sources for their stories within civil society on a variety of themes. Organisational profiles within the database are searchable by both thematic and regional focus. While large, prominent NGOs already have the capacity to communicate their views and contact details to the press, this database aims to contribute to democratising access by including smaller, Southern, national and local NGOs. Through the Civil Society Gateway project, it is hoped that the many often-silent voices of civil society will be heard.
