Government of India - Performance Management Division
The Government of India has set-up a Performance Management Division within the Cabinet Secretariat. The Division implements a “Performance Monitoring and Evaluation System” (PMES) that is is designed to help government departments define, measure and monitor their progress against defined targets and indicators. The Division also works to ensure effective implementation of the key recommendations of the Administrative Reform Commission and the 6th Pay Commission. The website of the Performance Management Division is a comprehensive resource for ministries, departments and the public. It includes for example, guidelines on the framing of Results Framework Documents (RFDs) details of workshops organised to implement the PMES, list of ministries covered etc. In addition, the website also makes available to the public the RFDs of different ministries in the government.
