Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) is the Government of India’s (GOI) flagship elementary education programme. Launched in 2001, it aims to provide universal primary education to children between the ages of 6 to 14 and is the primary vehicle for delivering the Right to Education.
Using government data, this brief reports on SSA performance along three parameters.
