It contains crucial information on freedom of information laws and how they were drafted and implemented, including how various provisions have worked in practice.
What do they know?
This site helps you find inside information about what the UK government is doing. One chooses the public authority that one would like information from, then write a brief note describing what one wants to know. The website then sends the request to the public authority. Any response they make is automatically published on the website for everybody to find and read.
Budgit
BudgIT as a project is a tool for citizen participation. Many Nigerians with little or no literacy in accounting and public expenditure do not have the requisite understanding of what budget entails and explanation of its key terms. Governance Knowledge Centre
The Governance Knowledge Centre (GKC) is an initiative of the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances under the Capacity Building for Poverty Reduction programme. It was launched by the Prime Minister during the National Conference of Collectors held at New Delhi in May, 2005.
In March 2010, OneWorld Foundation India was mandated to upgrade the Governance Knowledge Centre into a trusted knowledge repository with a vibrant and dynamic platform for the sharing of ideas, information, and resources in the field of governance.
The GKC is a point of digital reference on issues and practices in governance for functionaries across various government levels. It aims to provide knowledge and tools to facilitate effective public service delivery. The portal also facilitates collaborative creation of knowledge for stakeholders, through blogs peer-to-peer exchange platforms and a help desk on targeted government advisory.
Government of India - Performance Management Division
The Government of India has set-up a Performance Management Division within the Cabinet Secretariat. The Division implements a “Performance Monitoring and Evaluation System” (PMES) that is is designed to help government departments define, measure and monitor their progress against defined targets and indicators. I Paid A Bribe
I Paid A Bribe is a unique initiative to tackle corruption led by Bangalore based NGO Janaagraha. Harnessing the collective energy of citizens, the website enables citizens to report on the nature, number, pattern, types, location, frequency and values of actual corrupt acts that they experience on a day to day basis. Through such citizen reports, I Paid A Bribe seeks to discover the market price of corruption and also provide a snapshot of bribes occurring across different cities. The reports will be used by Janaagraha to argue for improving governance systems and procedures, tightening law enforcement and regulation and thereby reduce the scope for corruption in obtaining services from the government.

We focus on improving data and metadata accessibility and overall quality in support of research, policy making, and transparency, in the fields of economics, finance, healthcare, education, labor, social science, technology, agriculture, development, and the environment.
Data.gov.uk
Data.gov.uk is a key part of the Government's work on Transparency which is being lead by the Transparency Board. This site seeks to give a way into the wealth of government data. As highlighted by the Power of Information Taskforce, this means it needs to be easy to find, easy to license, and easy to re-use.
